Gary Neville Calls It A Day!

And so it has now been confirmed!

We`d suspected that Gary Neville might be calling it a day at the end of the season but it appears we were a little bit wrong.

The news has broken tonight that Gary Neville has announced his retirement with immediate effect.

Gary retires having played 602 domestic games for United and having collected 85 international caps.

We`ll miss him but we`d hope Sir Alex Ferguson has a role in mind for him at our club.

One of the best RBs to ever play for England and Utd but I'm just glad he's done now! Thanks for the memories. A UTD LEGEND!!

cb25Yid : Bit rude . Your obviously not a Man U fan . Neither am I , but how many players in whatever team you support have shown the kind of loyalty and dedication Gary Neville has shown . You can count his service in decades . (might be a bit off but you get my point . ) Any team would be grateful to have a player like that . Man U have had them in spades .

It's good that he has done this, he was seeing himself deteriorate into a shadow of the great player he once was. He was the PL's finest RB and Englands finest RB in years. Another United Legend. So is it off to management for Nev or remain at United as a coach, I personally prefer the latter.

Sky Sports here he comes then. A little make-up and a lot of plastic surgery and he might be alright!!!!
