United - Ferdinand`s Mantra!

United - Ferdinand`s Mantra!

Amongst the hullabaloo generated by the transfer window closing, there was very little to excite Manchester United fans after Sir Alex had decreed there would be no action.

Denied any serious transfer talk we`ve had to resort to finding other snippets of news that have come out of Old Trafford.

Rio Ferdinand, in a brief escape from posting his plethora of tweets, has given the tabloid press some decent quotes about the never-say-die attitude prevalent at Old Trafford, commenting,

"You never lose faith when you play for Manchester United."

"It`s in our make-up the games not over until the final whistle has blown and until then you try your hardest."

"If you do that week in, week out, you get a bit of luck and you get the rewards."

"It comes from the manager - he has got that desire and will to win."

"He`s been here for 25 years and if he`s still got it, then why haven`t players who have only been here for a year, two years, 10 years, whatever? So it comes from him and filters down through the club and that`s always the way it`s been."

Nothing too drastic there other than the slight inference about those being there a year not quite matching the enthusiasm shown by the boss, anyone care to hazard a guess who Rio might be having a pop at?

Or has that paranoid streak of mine reared its ugly head again?
