United - Cleverley Stays!

Speculation had been rife that Sir Alex Ferguson may well recall Tom Cleverley from his loan spell at Wigan this January.

That speculation it now seems was unfounded with Sir Alex agreeing to let young Tom see out the season at Wigan a move that has delighted the Wigan boss, Roberto Martinez, who offered a few comments on the subject matter to the tabloid media,

"Getting Tom to the end of the season was one of our biggest aims. He is the best possible signing we could have made."

"I spoke to Sir Alex and he confirmed Tom will stay with us. That`s great news. It`s fine to get carried away with bringing new players in but they may not adapt to the Premier League."

"To have a player with the potential Tom has got is just really good news for Wigan."

Here`s to raising a glass or two with the hope that Tom continues to make good progress at the DW Stadium.

He looks like a really good player already and looks capable of getting goals from midfield, something we lack.

No wonder Martinez is smiling in that picture!
