'If It's Football, It's Vital'

More French Mayhem for United`s Evra?

Having picked up a five game international ban for his part in the Nicolas Anelka saga at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, Patrice Evra is hoping to finally return to international football when the latest squad is announced this week.

You`d have thought that having served his ban Patrice would be welcomed back with open arms, but that`s not the case.

In fact the resentment running through French football about his role in the Anelka saga has one individual, the French Minister of Sport - Chantal Jouanno, trying to steer Laurent Blanc clear of picking him, remarking,

"I have nothing against Evra but, as a France player and especially captain, he did not defend the values of sport which are shared by the Republic."

"It would be a huge error to forget what happened, I am sure there exists other talents who haven`t sullied France."

Why on Earth Evra wants to play under the backstabbing FFA is beyond me.

I don't think Fergies too bothered with Evra staying in Manchester during the international games week.
