United - And the Replacement Will Be?

United - And the Replacement Will Be?

The news that Edwin Van der Sar IS retiring at the end of the season has kick-started the media circus when it come to procuring another keeper for Sir Alex Ferguson next season.

With our keeping coach, Eric Steele, having commented yesterday,

"Anders Lindegaard has been brought in to have five months working under Van der Sar and Thomas Kuszczak has done admirably every times he`s come in for us."

"But we`re naturally looking at potential suitors ready for the summer."

"Come the end of the season, the whole thing will be re-assessed by the management."

The tabloid world have wasted no chance in coming up with a plethora of names that United will choose from to fill the vacancy.

In fact it`s a who`s-who of keepers with David Gea, Manuel Neuer, Marten Stelkenburg, Pepe Reina and Craig Gordon all getting a mention.

However, it would seem that David Gea is the current favourite with it being peddled that United have had him watched in every game he`s played this season.
