United - Fletcher`s Views!

United - Fletcher`s Views!

We`re sitting pretty, on top of the league, many people are saying it is ours to lose but we`re not counting our chickens before they hatch.

Instead, we`ll continue to pick up the points whenever possible and see what happens.

Bloomfield Road was a stiff test for us but we picked up the three points our game in hand allowed us to.

After the game, Darren Fletcher spoke about the gamble of having to win any game sin hand you have and the irrelevance of going unbeaten throughout the season, remarking,

"It`s all well and good people counting up games in hand. That was why Blackpool was so important. We knew if we could win it would be a massive statement."

"It keeps us kicking on and gives us a chance to win the league. When we look back at the end of the season, it could be pivotal."

Staying unbeaten for the whole season is not the target, though that would be great. Winning the Premier League is the important thing."

"There are lots of big games left - Arsenal away, City at home and Chelsea twice, so no one is getting carried away yet."

Exactly, one game at a time and let`s see where it takes us!
