Gray and Keys - Ferdinand`s Verdict

Could political correctness spell the end of one of most recognized double acts in football?

Since Andy Gray and Richard Keys were caught, red-handed, offering sexist views about the lineswoman, Sian Massey, who did such a splendid job running the line the other day, the country, as a whole, has been clamouring for their blood.

Absent from the Sky Sports coverage of the Bolton v Chelsea game last night, it remains to be seen whether those sexist remarks end the Sky careers of two of the longest serving football pundits.

On his Twitter account, Rio Ferdinand expressed his disappointment at the pair describing their attitude as prehistoric and continuing,

"I`m all for women refereeing in football, discrimination should not happen in our game at all, prehistoric views if you think otherwise."

"Did anyone see the decision the lineswoman made, top decision."

What should be done about Gray and Keys?

Should they be sacked or have they been served punishment enough?

Women want to be equal to men when they can be better. To me this shows lack of ambition which is why men are better. :P In all seriousness society has got to a point where ethnic banter and gender banter are now racism and sexism. These types of banter however should be shared in friend groups rather than strangers and work places (for obvious reasons). People also need to remember that racism and sexism works both ways, its racist to use the derogatory term 'ni99a' yet OK for the white man to be deemed a 'cracker'. Women, in all fairness the common recievers of sexism, can also dish out sexist remarks that highlights the divide between men and women and quite oftenly their feminine touch is exploited to their advantage (its much easier for a women to victimise themself in a courtroom than a man for example). Equality is an illusion and try as we might to achieve it it ultimately will never happen. Don't feel sorry for Gray or Keys and being honest I think they might of done viewer a favour, I despise Gray' opinions and believe his insights to be a load of bollox. Copied and pasted becuase I couldn't be asked to rewrite it.

Its unacceptable but to sack them is just PC gone mad. Im sick of these angry mob thought police brigades when deep down we all know people with similar views friends, even family members. They deserved a good public roasting but sacking Grey is too far. Who's next on this witchhunt's list? Loose Women?

A small story blown out of proportion to sell more gutter press newspapers and to waste more tv air time on useless mind numbing crap. The 2 lads have apologised, that should be it over and done with, yet all these crazy pc *********s emerge from the woodwork to have their say its ******** ridiculous, I personally do not like Andy Gray yet I've gotten used to him on Super Sunday and ***** so to see him go, especially in this ridiculous scenario is just wrong. Free the Sky Sports 2.
