Ferguson on Rooney`s Goal Drought!

Ferguson on Rooney`s Goal Drought!

Three hat tricks in the season so far make Dimitar Berbatov a hot property.

It`s something that must be giving Wayne Rooney food for thought as he contemplates just trying to get back on the score sheet regularly.

But the signs are there that Wayne is getting back to his best and speaking about the situation, after the match, Sir Alex Ferguson seemed pleased with his contribution when he remarked,

"We hope the goals will come because he deserves it."

"He worked his socks off and played some great football. He was involved in the fourth goal."

"He showed fantastic control from an Edwin Van der Sar long kick that came out of the clouds and he set up Ryan."

"It was a terrific goal. It was partly a clearance by Edwin - but he knew the area to direct it to."

"Rooney`s control and ball to Ryan were both unbelievable."

Perhaps Blackpool, and Bloomfield Road, will prove to be the launch pad for Rooney!

No one will care of he doesn't score a goal for the rest of the season as long as he puts in the same performance he did againt Birmingham into every game. Well, I personally wouldn't care.
