Wenger`s View on United Emulating Arsenal

An unbeaten twenty-one game start to the Premier League season has got talk started about United emulating Arsenal, of a few years back, and going the whole season unbeaten.

If that were to happen it would be a magnificent achievement, but all minds are currently focussed on regaining the Premier League title.

But that hasn`t stopped the media from approaching an old adversary, Arsene Wenger, what his views on the subject are.

Now whilst I`ve not normally got much time for the ranting of the Frenchman, I have to say that he`s spot on in his assessment this time around when he comments,

"If they have five games to go and they are still unbeaten come back to me - I`ll say now they can do it."

"You really only think about winning the championship now, but with five games to go you think, 'Oh we can add something to that`. But you don`t think about that with 17 games to go."

"Can they still do it? Certainly because they have not been beaten yet."

"Have they been a bit lucky until now? Certainly, but we`ll see."

"They are solid defensively at the moment more than offensively. So at the moment they get through games."

"You saw the game against Tottenham, they managed to play 0-0 and Tottenham is a difficult place to go."

"You cannot rule it out and you cannot say for sure they will do it."


Personally, I have a suspicion it`ll not happen but if we win the league you`ll not hear me complain!

Luckiest unbeaten run in history of unbeaten runs. Draws when you should have lost. Wins when you didnt deserve.
