United - Vidic Eager to Kick On!

United - Vidic Eager to Kick On!

It`s a shame we`re not playing in midweek!

The consensus is that we`re now getting ready to kick on and demonstrate that familiar trait whereby we go on to dominate the second half of the season.

Being top, despite not being at our best, appears to have given the camp a boost with our club captain, Nemanja Vidic commenting,

'We definitely have a positive feeling."

'We know that up until the win over Blackburn we hadn't performed as well as we can."

'But from my experience, this sort of time is when we usually come into good form."

'We all want to win the trophy. Last season was very disappointing."

'We just need to keep pushing hard and playing well. If we do that, we have a good chance of regaining it."

And for a record number of times, how well would that go down on King Kenny`s Merseyside?

But Vidic is realistic enough to accept that the competition for the title is more competitive than ever, continuing,

'The quality has improved."

'We saw last season how competitive the league is and it's been even more so this year."

'Sides such as Tottenham and Manchester City have raised their games, whilst other teams understand they have to improve if they want to stay in the league because it is so competitive. They have done that."

'It is a physically strong league and players have raised their game in that way too.'

Once again, we`ll beg to differ and suggest that the league, this season, is far from being as top-notch as it has been in recent seasons`!
