United - A Shocking Turn of Events!

United - A Shocking Turn of Events!

The morning after the night before, the penalty incident, after thirty-one seconds, continues to generate column inches in the tabloid press.

This morning I picked up one such tabloid to find Patrice Evra going on about It and also, remarkably, singing the virtues of our opponents, remarking,

"The penalty was the key to the match. Liverpool are a really tough team to play against."

"You really have to give them credit for playing with 10 players in this way. They showed a lot of courage."

"I would even like to congratulate Liverpool for their performance, but in the end Manchester United won, and that`s the most important thing in football."

Whatever next?

Praise for Manchester City!

There must be an honesty-inducing bug in the English air, these days. Next thing you know, you-know-who will admit he had a romp with a few more -- than he let on, when the missus was heavy.

Ome on Naija - even Wayne Rooney can't afford that kind of money.
