United - Was It A Penalty?

United - Was It A Penalty?

It looks as if it is a subject that is going to be talked about until the cows come home is that penalty decision.

Several differing opinions have already emerged from various sources with our own Dimitar Berbatov commenting, immediately after the game,

'Of course it was a penalty. There was contact, enough to make me lose my balance and make me lose my balance. People who know me know I don't go down that easily."

Whilst Kenny Dalglish, in his first game back in charge of Liverpool, hotly disputed that, explaining,

'The two decisions are important factors in the game. If you take those away, our players showed great commitment because it's a difficult place to play. The supporters stayed with us for the whole game and the players worked tremendously hard. I don't think it's a penalty kick."

Whilst Ryan Babel, according to our sources, is also more than miffed having committed what`s being called 'twittercide` by sending a tweet with a link to a picture of Howard Web in a Manchester United shirt!

What`s your verdict? Was it a definite penalty or was it a bit iffy?

There is only one place in the entire known Universe that was a penalty - Old Trafford. And you know it's the truth.

One thing is that ref's make mistakes all the time, sometimes for a team, sometimes against your team. A real supporter and manager/player would hold up his hands afterwards, and say; "Okay, this time we got an advantage, it wasn't a penalty, and maybe next time it will be against us". But to be so blind and arrogant that you can't admit it, is just sad. I think the article writer should say if he means that this is a penalty??? And try to picture that Spurs get the exact same penalty against you next sunday after 30seconds....still a penalty?
