United - Ferguson on West Brom Win!

A few early thoughts from the boss!

Having watched his side extend their unbeaten start to the season to 19 Premier League games whilst also racking up only the second away win of the campaign, Sir Alex Ferguson, immediately after the game, spoke about two aspects of the game.

First up was the performance of Wayne Rooney, who scored his first goal from open play since March and who battled through the last few minutes carrying an ankle knock,

'Wayne Rooney was exceptional. He drove us on and he was out of this world. He's off the mark and hopefully he'll be on a run now."

Secondly, we have to ask whether Sir Alex, now n his 70th year, is starting to mellow when he remarked,

"I thought it was a penalty when Gary Neville clashed with Graham Dorrans in the first half.'

We did as well Sir Alex but we`re surprised you`re openly sharing the same view!
