Houllier Says Diarra Going Nowhere

Houllier Says Diarra Going Nowhere

Lyon manager Gerard Houllier says he believes that Mahamadou Diarra will stay with Lyon and shun Manchester United.

The midfielder is said to be one of Sir Alex Ferguson's top targets this summer but former Liverpool manager Houllier told The Guardian:

'I don't think Diarra will be going to United. We hope Mahamadou will stay but, while there has been interest in him, I don't see him going to The Premiership.'

Not the longest article in the world, but as this just looks like paper talk, I'm not sure it warrants any further comment.

If we bid, he will come, not many turn down the chance to play for Manchester United!
