United - Berbatov Prompted by Evra?

Having already reached thirteen goals this season, Sir Alex Ferguson has set a target of twenty-five for Dimitar Berbatov.

The Bulgarian, who is on a hot scoring streak, has hit seven in his last two appearances at Old Trafford but could lose his place in the starting eleven as we head off to St Andrews for this evening, with Sir Alex likely to switch his formation around to play a lone striker.

Berbatov has turned around United career around with many pundits predicting that he`d be on his way last summer. So what has been the difference this time around?

Perhaps, the realisation that it was do-or-die this season may have prompted a change in attitude but behind the scenes Patrice Evra is also claiming some of the plaudits especially after a little spat, on the training ground, saw Berbatov hit the brace that secured the three points against Sunderland.

Evra, in a red-top tabloid this morning, takes up the story explaining,

"I`m very happy with Dimitar."

"We argued a little bit in training because he was missing the goals. I kept moaning at him when he missed and he said, 'Don`t worry, I`ll score in the game`. And he showed me that by scoring two goals."

Strangely enough though, of his current haul only one goal has come on the road, time to put that right Dimitar!

******** Berbatov, I had him in my fantasy football team and he wasn't up to much, so i transfered him and then he scores 5 goals in one match the day after i got rid of him.
