'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Ferguson Doubts?

With nearly a quarter of a century under his belt, it`s interesting to read that Sir Alex Ferguson still, sometimes, questions his own judgment.

You`d have thought that the job would, by now, be almost second nature to him but in an interview, bits of which are published in a red-top tabloid this morning, you can clearly see that Sir Alex often mulls things over in his mind trying to establish if a decision he`s made was the right one or could he have done it differently.

Take a look and make your own mind up.

"Off course you have doubts."

"Even now when you lose games you still have that feeling of 'How are we going to recover from this one?"

"Management is about making decisions. Sometimes they`re positive and good, and sometimes you maybe make the wrong decision and feel you should have attacked it in a different way or maybe done something different."

"You have it with picking teams. We made a decision the other night, against Arsenal, to leave Dimitar Berbatov out. It wasn`t an easy one. It was very difficult to explain why to Dimitar."

"The only way I could explain the decision was that I felt it was going to win us the match. Although I was proved right and we won the game, you`re never sure. So doubting does come into it."

Simply fascinating!

Great manager, but horrible and petty human being. Maybe that's what it takes

Interesting survey that the 3 options given doesn't include the option of losing, could this possibly be a touch of arrogance

Can't have a laugh or joke anymore without the 'arrogance' accusation.
