'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Real-Ron-No!

The organ grinders at Old Trafford have moved swiftly to deny the reports that midfielder Christiano Ronaldo is off to the Bernabeu during the current summer break.

It has been reported that Ronaldo has openly stated he'd welcome a move to Spain, however this could have something to do with Presidential candidate Juan Miguel Villar Mir. They'll say anything to get a vote or two!

A senior club spokesman was quoted:

'There has been no contact between Manchester United and Villar Mir’s election team or Real Madrid, and any suggestion there has been is incorrect.

'Unfortunately, these tactics seem to be a common occurrence in elections of this nature.

'Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a long-term contract with Manchester United, which runs until 2010. He will be a Manchester United player next season.'

Real Madrid really disappoint me as a club, they seem to regularly ditch presidents, and managers. This then leads to a campaign where all sorts of silly links to managers, players, tea ladies etc start to worry other clubs and their fans.

Madrid, GET REAL!
