United - Park`s Absence!

Having netted the winner against Arsenal, Old Trafford will soon be bidding a temporary farewell to Ji-Sung Park.

The South Korean is scheduled to leave England, after our Boxing Day fixture, to participate in the Asia Cup.

The tournament is scheduled to last three weeks and cover seven United matches, but Ji-Sung doesn`t appear to be 100% behind going, commenting after his recent match-winning goal to the media,

"I`ve mixed feelings about the Asia Cup."

"At the moment I`m playing with confidence, so I do feel a bit strange about going. But I`m always happy to join my national team as well."

"Even without me, Manchester United have enough players to keep winning, so I`ll concentrate on the national team and then focus on Manchester United."

And as for his goal on Monday evening,

"It was a strange goal."

"The ball changed direction so I had to move suddenly."

"I thought it was going to hit the post. But finally it went in and I was able to celebrate."

It was the second such strange goal we`ve scored this season with Javier Hernandez doing something similar against Stoke City.

Continuing, Park had this to add, when talking to the media, about United`s current position, explaining,

"We`re in a great position. But there is still a long way to go in the league."

"We always seem to play very well in the winter so we just have to try and keep our performances."

I`ve always thought a decent winter sets us up nicely for one last push to title glory, hopefully that`ll be the case this season!
