'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Giggs on that Benchmark!

I`m not quite sure that we`ll stick seven past Arsenal tonight; in fact I`m certain we won`t.

In fact it could turn out to be quite a tussle with both sides desperate not to lose. However, Ryan Giggs is quite right when he points out that putting seven goals past Blackburn Rovers has set the benchmark for what we can attain, with the Welshman saying,

"The Blackburn game is the benchmark. Everything clicked that day. Some of the forward play was exceptional. That is what we want and what we know we are capable of doing. In games and in training, the idea is to go out and reach it again."

But if our unbeaten record remains intact tonight we`ll have gotten something out of the game, hopefully three points.

As for that unbeaten run, Giggs is understandably happy about it remarking,

"We are proud of the unbeaten record. People have not given us the respect we think we deserve."

Perhaps if we can beat Arsenal tonight then there will be more of that respect forthcoming.
