United - Vidic on Two Important Fixtures!

United - Vidic on Two Important Fixtures!

Our club captain, Nemanja Vidic, remains a permanent fixture at the heart of our defence.

With Rio Ferdinand struggling for fitness, Vidic could well have a new defensive partner for the visit of Arsenal on Monday evening. Its something we`re sure Nemanja will cope admirably with.

Ahead of the important fixture, Vidic has talked about our recent form as well as the necessity to ensure we get good results in our next two games, both against potential title rivals, remarking to the red-top tabloids,

"Our form is getting better. We had a few good chances against Valencia and played some good football. We didn`t take all the chances and in games like the ones against Arsenal and Chelsea, you have to keep your focus."

"There aren`t going to be so many chances. Everything you have, you have to take if you want to win."

"So I hope we will be in good shape and all our player swill be fit, because we are looking forward to the game."

"We have to be pleased with how many chances we made against Valencia but we didn`t take them."

"In the end it was a bit if a nervous game. In the last 10 minutes we had to make sure we didn`t concede a goal so we could achieve what we wanted to achieve - to be first."

And those two crucial games,

"We would have a big advantage if we won those two games and we`d be in a great position."

"I think it`s the biggest game for us so far this season, especially when you`re getting to this stage in December."

"It`s likely that a few teams will separate form the rest. That`s why it`s such an important game, also because Arsenal are such big rivals for us."

This weekend could prove to be fascinating! With Chelsea stuttering along we could find Monday arriving with the opportunity to extend our lead, if we can defeat Arsenal!
