FC United - Dream Over!

It was good whilst it lasted, no excellent while it lasted, but FC United of Manchester`s FA Cup exploits are over for another year.

Watched by a crowd of over 7,000 at Gigg Lane last night, the fledgling club crashed out of the FA Cup second round after conceding two goals in each half, to League One side Brighton and Hove Albion.

There was to be no magical 3rd round appearance, instead their manager, Karl Marginson, was left to give his side the following compliment,

"Our players must be proud. We made Brighton work hard."

All eyes on promotion then lads!
