'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Hitting Top Form!

All the talk, in the build up to the Blackburn Rovers fixture, was about what would happen if we hit top gear.

Although, going into the game, we were equal top, the feeling has always been there that, despite our unbeaten start to the season, it`s been a far from typical United start.

Goals have been conceded when they shouldn`t have been and results have been carved out with performances that were not what we have come to expect.

Therefore, following the 7-1 thrashing handed out to Sam Allardyce and his side, there was glow on Sir Alex`s face when he spoke about the result, when he commented to the media,

"It has taken a bit of time but we have found our rhythm and tempo."

"We haven`t always had that consistency but it looks like we`re back to normal now."

"We are pleased we`re competing at the top at the start of an important spell coming up with Blackpool next week and then Arsenal and Chelsea. It`s a busy time."

"It was a really good performance and Wayne Rooney did very well considering that was only his second full game back."

"I was also pleased with Nani and Anderson but this was a very good team performance."

West Ham, on Tuesday evening, gives us the chance to continue to show the country that we are back on top form!

It's OK hitting top-form but its another thing staying there. "It has taken a bit of time but we have found our rhythm and tempo." - sorry if I dont get too excited after one game perhaps a another 2 or 3 solid results then I will believe we've hit top-form.
