United - Ferguson Looking for a Better Display!

United have the opportunity to put daylight between themselves and Chelsea today when Blackburn are the opposition at Old Trafford.

But, if we are to do so then Sir Alex Ferguson is looking for improvement and in his pre-match press conference has spoken out about the two poor performances given in the last two league fixtures, remarking,

"The last two performances in the league have not been good enough."

"We`ve not played well. We should have lost by six goals at Aston Villa but somehow got a point out of it."

"And against Wigan we made things difficult for ourselves. We could have won by five or six."

"We`ve been a bit fortunate that some of the other sides haven`t played well. And at least we took something from those games. We know the last two games haven`t been up to our standard."

"But the incentive of being at the top of the league is a big one. It`s time to wake up."


And time to hit top gear methinks!
