Ferguson wants more from strikers (AUDIO)

Sir Alex Ferguson has called on his shot-shy strikers to start finding the net on a more regular basis ahead of their trip to Rangers, where a point will secure their progress to the Last 16 of the Champions League.

Wayne Rooney has scored just once this season, whilst Dimitar Berbatov has failed to net in his last 9 appearances for the club, despite a great start to the campaign when he scored 7 times in just six games. Javier Hernandez` goal against Wigan on Saturday was his first in five too.

Despite being unbeaten in their 18 games so far this season, United`s lack of goals has found them drawing too many matches, including a 0-0 scoreline at Old Trafford when they met the Scottish champions back in September.

It`s a must win for the Glaswegians if they harbour any hopes of progressing through to the next round. Walter Smith`s team have to secure all three points if they want to maintain pressure on Valencia, who are big favourites at home to Bursaspor.

Im baffled this season, we are not playing the United way, we look as if we havent gotten into 2 gear, still we are joint top with Chelski.. Once we hit form, its bye bye rest of the prem.. Assanal looks shaky as always, Pool is gone, Chelski hmm, old, tired and over the top.. The mercenaries, well they keep spending millions on second rate players and rejoice when beating Fullham, they have no ambition and wont make it into top 5.. Totts, hmm maybe they could be up there..
