United - Scholes to get Contract Offer!
Having played his part in a very combative midfield during the drab derby last night, Paul Scholes will be absent from the starting eleven at Aston Villa this weekend.
Scholes collected his fifth yellow card of the season, courtesy of Chris Foy, and receives an automatic one-game ban.
Perhaps this temporary absence will allow Paul to mull over the contract offer that is reputedly coming his way requesting he extends his Old Trafford career by a further year.
His form, so far this season, would certainly warrant such an offer!

What, not buying a younger replacement then? Guess there's still no value in the market (cough cough Ozil, Cough cough Van Der Vart). Oh well, perhaps if you make him sleep in an oxygen tent and only play him in months with an "R" in them you might be able to squeeze another season or two out of him before you go bust.
