United - The Rooney England Situation!
The grapevine originally suggested that Wayne Rooney would be returning from America in time to be considered for selection for the trip to Villa Park this weekend.
Now I`m not so sure this will be the case!
England have a friendly lined up next week, I was going to call it a prestigious friendly but that sticks in the throat when it comes to describing a fixture between two World Cup failure, and naturally the question relating to the availability of a certain Wayne Rooney was put to Sir Alex Ferguson at his pre-match press conference.
The question prompted Sir Alex to respond,
"He can only be available if he`s fit and he`s not fit."
Therefore, if he`s not fit for next week I seriously doubt the truthfulness of the rumour that circulated mentioning an appearance at Villa Park this weekend.
