'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Vidic Ready for the Pressure!

Our club captain, Nemanja Vidic, is another who has some strong views on the forthcoming derby.

Vidic, who committed his future to Old Trafford in the summer, recognizes that in such heated affairs as a Manchester derby, form kind of becomes irrelevant when he remarks,

"Always there is excitement when a derby comes round but in the last two years it`s been even greater because of the money they`ve put in."

"It is a massive game; they have quality players and big expectations."

"It will not matter what the form is like going into the game - it is about that moment."

It`s about handling the pressure, handling the intensity and coming out the other side victorious and Vidic is just the sort of bloke you`d like next to you in such a heated battle, is he not!
