United - Tevez Wanted Rooney!

Wayne Rooney may be several thousands of miles away from the action when we face Manchester City, on Wednesday night, but he remains firmly in the thoughts of one man who could do us serious damage.

After Rooney`s dalliance with a possible move away from Old Trafford, Carlo Tevez has stepped forward with a few comments relating to the situation.

Tevez, probably like the rest of us, was perfectly aware that Eastlands was the only real destination that could afford his exorbitant demands and had this to say about the possibility of Rooney doing the unthinkable, remarking,

"I would have liked him to come here of course. But it was complicated for him to leave United."

"Wayne is a player of great quality. He was a team-mate and a friend of mine at United and he is one of those men that it is better to have on your team than against you."

"For me he is the best English striker of recent years."

"I made the change and so far I`m not sorry."

A good player our old friend Tevez, but he can`t have opened his trophy cabinet since he left Old Trafford can he?

We were hardly at the same level when he left you. We're a lot closer now. Time will tell if you'll remain so smug.

Haha, thats one unhappy player on your hands. You don't seriously think he completely changed his view of your club over 48 hours do you??!! He'll be brooding from now on, a proper powder keg waiting for his fuse to be lit.

Since he left the swamp your lot won the league cup, I wouldn't imagine he's too fussed. Do players have trophy cabinets?
