It was one of those games where you hoped we`d eek out a win but we`re never quite sure.

Wolves came, set out their stall and looked a decent enough outfit. I guess events took a turn for the worse when Owen Hargreaves limped off a mere six minutes into his comeback, an injury that prompted Sir Alex Ferguson to quote in his post match press conference,

"I took a gamble on Owen Hargreaves. He`s been training really well. I thought it would give us a compact midfield."

"Bit he lasted only a few minutes. It was a hamstring - unbelievable."


Hopefully Owen will not be out too long.

As for the last gasp winner, it was typical United and something we`ve been noted for in years gone by, prompting Sir Alex to offer the following few thoughts,

"You have to admire the perseverance of the team, the never-say-die attitude."

"It was a long struggle. We had to make changes, some players were playing with a touch of flu, some with diarrhoea, things like that. We did really well to get a result."


And as for the match-winning hero,

"Ji-Sung Park has been playing well. We needed that performance from him."

Next stop Eastlands and the City derby, an exciting week ahead we think!
