Perfectly aware that Wayne Rooney`s contract outburst inferred that the club were not interested in signing world-class players, the media have picked up on a few rumours doing the rounds.
Only yesterday one piece of gossip implied that Manchester United were interested in the Napoli pair of Marek Hamsik and Edinson Cavani and it hasn`t taken long for the Italian side to bounce back that they`re not interested in a reputed £35 million bid for the pair!
Would we be willing to splash that sort of cash?
Are the pair worth that sort of money?

The Italian is as close as it gets to the premier league so it would be, in my opinion anyway, more wise to buy that much needed AM from there. Hamsik really fits the bill, he is a frequent goalscorer, he can pick out a ball and finally possesses good height and strength.
