United - Rooney`s Coming Back!

Still conspicuous by his absence, it might not be too long before we see the familiar figure of Wayne Rooney strutting his stuff on the Old Trafford turf.

Rooney, suffering from an ankle injury that was supposed to keep him out for three weeks, although which three weeks were not specified, is back in training prompting Sir Alex Ferguson to offer an optimistic remark,

"Rooney did a bit of running for the first time yesterday and I was quite surprised by that."

"He`s keen to get back, but he didn`t do much, just a bit of jogging."

Nice work for the kind of money he`s on if you can get it I suppose!
