Not too long ago Danny Murphy came out and raised a few eyebrows with a few comments.
Murphy, having seen Bobby Zamora crocked, issued a statement that suggested that certain managers wind their players up so much that loose-cannons` might be an apt word to describe them.
In doing so he highlighted certain teams he believed were the most guilty and received some savage barbs back, in the end Murphy reckoned he`d been misquoted, however, Sir Alex Ferguson has come up with a statement that mirrors the views of several people I`ve spoken to when he`s attributed as having quipped,
"The players are babies now. In my day you had to hit someone with a hatchet before a referee booked you."
How very true!
Some of the legends of the game, these days, wouldn`t have lasted more than five minutes in this modern game of ours!

Players are far too protected now-a-days. You can't play football, a game that traditionally requires you to use your lower body, and be suprised is you break a leg, ankle, foot or toe!!
