Ribery To Snub Manchester United?

Manchester United target Franck Ribery has said he wants to play for Lyon.

United had a bid of around £9million turned down but are expected to return for the France international, however Ribery has made it clear that he wishes to team up with former Liverpool boss Houllier.

He told La Parisien:
'Lyon is clearly my priority for next season. My wish is not to stay with OM next season. I aspire to play at a European level. I was ready to do it with OM, which is a club who have helped me reach my dreams.'
Adding

'OM also knows that it could, thanks to my transfer, make a lot of money.'

Ribery has also been linked to Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal but it looks like none of the links will prove correct.

Thats a shame. I like him and i'm sure he would have lit up the premiership with his skills. Lack of ambition going to Lyon?

No its another sign of player loyalty this time to an ex manager. No reason that Lyon can't achieve the same status as Man Utd in their own league. Plenty more players yes, but not too many of his quality without having to pay stupid money and for the ones that are available theres alot of European clout to compete with.

How many Green Giants are there for f**k sake. ;) Certainly does show a lack of ambition, Prem league is the best in the world and Man Usa one of the top four in it. Shame it would have been good to see him!
