Another Scan D-day For Man Utd

Another scan d-day looms for a Manchester United player.

This time captain Gary Neville will undergo a scan tomorrow to see the full extent of the damage to his injured calf. Neville will sit out tonight's game against Sweden with Liverpool's Jamie Carragher thought likely to deputise again.

England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson had thought the right-back would be fit but now says he is 'not sure' if he will make a comeback in the tournament.

Eriksson said: 'Gary Neville has not started running yet. He will have a scan and it will decide if he can start running or not. Will he play in the second round? We hope so - but we are not sure. Hopefully he will do running on Wednesday or Thursday.'

Good job we have someone like Hargreaves who can play in his position then, isnt it? TBH, I hope it's not too bad as we will need him for the final.
