United - Evra New Deal!

United - Evra New Deal!

Hot on the heels of the mega Wayne Rooney deal, one tabloid reports that another of our respected stars is to get similar treatment.

Patrice Evra, according to the country`s leading tabloid, is set to be given a new contract, despite his current one not lapsing until 2012, that will see his weekly salary, reputedly, jump from £70,000 a week to £100,000!

It may not be on such a grotesque scale as the Rooney deal but Evra will still be on a tidy sum tied to a deal that will keep him out of the clutches of the Spanish giants, Real Madrid and Barcelona and at Old Trafford until he`s thirty-three.

My one regret! Why, oh why wasn`t I blessed with enough talent to be a footballer instead of just being a jealous guy!
