United - Neville Hits 600!

United - Neville Hits 600!

He may have only lasted forty-five minutes but Gary Neville hit a milestone this afternoon!

After having the crowd baying for him to be shown a second yellow, and a subsequent red, card after he committed two iffy tackles on Matthew Etherington, at the Britannia Stadium this afternoon, Gary can reflect on the fact that after having been stuck on the 599 appearances for Manchester United, he`s finally reached the magical 600 figure.

This latest appearance leaves Neville 5th in the all-time appearance list behind Paul Scholes, Bill Foulkes, Bobby Charlton and Ryan Giggs.

Unfortunately, age and the probable overhaul of the squad this summer may very well prevent Neville climbing any higher - but it is still a remarkable achievement and we`d like to offer our congratulations.
