United - Crerand Speaks!

Yesterday we were able to offer a few words of wisdom on how a couple of United legends perceived the current Rooney situation.

Today we can up the ante slightly with a real legend, the great Paddy Crerand, having his say about the scenario.

Paddy, quoted in the red-tops, pulls no punches in the few words they opted to print remarking,

"If you are happy somewhere, why cause all the problems."

"Wayne`s 24, he`s still a kid at heart, maybe mentally as well. Is he being led by people like his agent?"

"Sometimes at 24 or 25, you have the mentality of a 15 year old - but you (should) listen to the manager."

"The manager is very disappointed and I feel the same way."

I can`t help feeling Paddy has hit the nail squarely on the head but we also can`t help pondering over just how much the game has changed over the years since Paddy hung his celebrated boots up!
