'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Welbeck Drawing a Blank!

Tuning into the recent televised clash, on Monday night, between Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland, it was interesting to see our very own Danny Welbeck get a run out.

Now whilst the game may have bored me to tears, I couldn`t help but will Danny on and hope that he`d score his first goal in he colours of Sunderland.

It didn`t happen and eventually the game petered out as a very boring 0-0 draw with most of the Sunderland chances falling to Darren Bent.

Away on loan to enhance his football education as well as give him valuable first team experience, you can`t help but feel that the longer Danny goes without scoring a goal the greater the pressure becomes.

Danny though, remains remarkably upbeat about the situation and has acknowledged that the he, and the side also, has to do their bit goals wise, remarking,

"We can`t keep relying on Darren. Everyone has got to chip in."

Now there`s an idea, a deft little chip over the keeper to get off the mark!

Got to be patient with him, he is still very young. Bundles of talent and hopefully he will show it soon.

give him time and he'll be just fine!
