'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - A Real Interest!

He may not be in charge at the Bernabou no more but Ramon Calderon, the ex-president of the club, would still like to see Wayne Rooney in that famous white shirt.

With their being very few clubs that are likely to even contemplate making a move for Rooney, Calderon knows that Real Madrid are probably one of them.

With it being inferred, by the tabloid press, that Rooney is looking for a take home salary of 150,000 a week (how he`ll survive on that god only knows), the Spanish giants of Real and Barcelona know the lax Spanish tax-laws put them in pole position compared to the English duo of Manchester City and Chelsea.

But returning to Calderon, this is what he`s quoted as having said about the possibility of Rooney joining Cristiano Ronaldo at the Bernabou,

"I`d try to sign Rooney now that we know he has told Alex Ferguson he wants to leave. He is a fantastic footballer whose style would be loved in Spain and particularly at the club I support."

Can you really see Rooney in that famed white shirt?
