United - Best`s Items Up For Auction!
Those of you out there with a serious interest in football memorabilia and who also have wads of cash might be interested in the following.
An auction takes place, this Wednesday at Bonhams in Chester, of sporting memorabilia, amongst the many items up for sale are items that were the possessions of a certain George Best
These include his European Cup Winners medal and several personal sporting trophies awarded to the late Best, including the 1968 Football Writers Association Footballer of the Year.
These lots don`t come cheap with the medal alone expected to achieve £90,000 to £120,000.
Whilst the expected amounts are well out of our reach it`d be a great spectacle to watch as they pass through the auctioneers hands.
If you can get there we`d suggest you do, it`s history being sold there, our history!
