United - Rooney Mystery Deepens!

Just what is going on?

Is there an ankle injury?

Was there ever an ankle injury?

Is there another agenda?

Something decidedly spooky appears to be happening at Old Trafford. Sir Alex Ferguson fed the media a line about an ankle injury keeping Wayne Rooney out whilst the player has now, according to many reports in the media, come out and said he`s not had an ankle injury all season.

Off course such folly provides the media hacks with all sorts of ammunition to allow their minds to run riot and already we`re seeing claims that Rooney is now seriously considering leaving Old Trafford, with Real Madrid being lined up as a possible destination.

The latest furore appears to have been jump-started after Rooney gave the following replies to some leading questions.

Firstly, on the ankle injury,

"I`ve had no problems with my ankle all season."

"I`ve been training for the last two months and I haven`t missed a training session so there`s no problem with my fitness."

Before, when asked about why Sir Alex remarked about an ankle injury,

"Don`t know."

So just what is going on then?

First Anderson, now Rooney. Is taggart losing the plot? Or is Rooney angling for a move? You won't make enough to turn your balance sheet from red to black on current form though!

sure he will make our bench even stronger< COYS - bring him to the lane, after all, I would say that we are more likely for the title than the poor part of Manchestaaaaaaaaaar

He knows fully well, he's playing 5h1te and so got dropped but rather than Fergie say that he covered it up as an ankle injury.
