United - Does This Rumour Have Wings?

United - Does This Rumour Have Wings?

I`ve been hunting high and low today, searching for any snippets of gossip that might relate to a potential January transfer window target.

It hasn`t been a successful hunt as I`ve, surprisingly, only come up with one solitary rumour.

If the good-ship Grapevine is to be believed then Sir Alex Ferguson is keen on signing the Lyon winger, Michel Bastos.

Now I`m not sure if this rumour has any solid foundation but with Giggs on his last legs, well almost, and with Obertan yet to make a serious impact we are really only left with one natural wide-man in the shape of Nani.

A winger might be on the agenda but whether its Bastos we wouldn`t like to say!

Highly unlikely.

Very Unlikely, we are more likely to sign a keeper than a winger, with Obertan and Bebe on the books. Theres also the Sneijder rumour resurfacing, but that seems just as unlikely as he is about to put pen to paper again

I don't think you'll be spending very much money until Fergie retires - whatever cash you have that isn't being swallowed up by interest payments will be earmarked for the red-nosed fellow's successor. An lord knows whoever that is will certainly need to splash some cash!
