United - Neville on the City Threat!

I was kind of hoping that our squad would be as dismissive of Manchester City`s title challenge as I am, but then again I guess they`re a little more sensible than mad I!

City, currently lurking in second place in the Premier League table, have caught the eye of Gary Neville who reckons,

"We`re behind City, which has not happened too often in the past 20 years."

"There is no doubt we have to see City as major challengers this season along with Chelsea."

"Both clubs are above us and the money City have spent, and the quality and depth in both squads, means we have to see them both as rivals."

You`re probably right Gary, but it just goes against the grain to think of City as title challengers, especially after all these years!

City are still a rising threat however not an instant one so for now im not too worried about having to defend a trophy against 'em, no offense City fans.
TheFamousNo7
None taken Famous - it's only the most blindly optimistic of our fans that think we'll win the title this season. Suspect we'll get pretty close, but instant success is not something that happens too often. We'll get there and wave at the rags on the way past, but I do feel our squad is still not ready and needs to gel a bit more. Hope I'm wrong, and I suspect we may well finish above the traffordredsox this season, but Chelsea are still the team to beat.

Lets see how City fair at the seaside next Sunday.Be extremely funny if they were to be beaten at Blackpool.I don t think City are true title contenders whilst they have splashed out enormous sums of money on players I reckon they are a bunch of individuals and have not jelled together as a team.
