United - Rooney Quashes Rumours!

United - Rooney Quashes Rumours!

There are some right numpties on this planet.

Take for example all those hacks who were ready to suggest that Wayne Rooney was, at just twenty-four years of age, getting ready to turn his back on the international scene.

Thankfully Wayne has kicked those rumours into touch, remarking,

"I have never thought about quitting."

"I am 24, I`m very proud, for me to play for England is the pinnacle of my career."

"In tournaments, we need to do better and I need to do better."

"I`m still young. I`ve got times to put things right - and hopefully I`ll do that."

"I want to get as many caps as I can. But the most important thing is to try and get a piece of silverware with England which would be the greatest achievement of my career if I managed to do so."

Great to hear Wayne has been quick to quash these rumours!

Luckily for Rooney there aren't many quality strikers queuing up to replace him, as on current form he doesn't deserve to be starting in the England squad. Ditto the united squad, and I'm sure a few of you will agree with me.

It's a very rare occasion that i would agree with a City fan but fcb, in this case anyway, has hit the nail on the head for me.
