United - Berbatov Facing The Reality of It All!

United - Berbatov Facing The Reality of It All!

There`s no doubting that Dimitar Berbatov is our main striker so far this season.

The Bulgarian appears to have discovered a new rich vein of form, his best form since coming to Old Trafford from White Hart Lane.

However, if we had any hopes of the Bulgarian going on until his mid-thirties we`d better think again.

Speaking to the media, Dimitar has remarked on how much he admires those veterans at our club but gives an indication that he doesn`t feel his body will support the rigours of playing on that long when he remarks,

"Me? At 35? No way!"

Seriously, though, everyone is different and you have to know your body is giving you the signals to stop."

"Having been here for two seasons, I know why Giggs, Scholes, Neville have been here for so long and why they are still playing. Here they have the facilities and the coaching staff who know how to prepare you."

"Obviously you need to focus on the football and when you go home, you have to be professional and know how to live your life. I see all these things in these three guys, especially."

They are still playing at the highest level, so I think to myself, 'Can I do that? If not, then at least try to see how long I can play for."

"But when your body tells you, that`s when you have to stop and not make a fool of yourself."

So how long Dimitar! Two more seasons at max or can we squeeze a third out of you?

Well his body might not tell him to stop for a long while yet.
