United - Bale Link Gathers Pace!

A piece of interesting gossip, doing the rounds, is that Manchester United are keen on pilfering yet another of Spur`s talented players.

After having previously snaffled Michael Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov, the grapevine now suggests that Sir Alex Ferguson is keen on luring the Welshman, Gareth Bale, to Old Trafford next summer.

The fee mentioned is somewhere in the region of £20 million.

But, the same rumour also suggests that Real Madrid are also interested as well.

Whether Spurs are still a selling club though remains to be seen, we`d think not!

hahahaha £20m for a 21 yr old with a 5 yr contract who is already the best left sided player in europe??? man utd could not afford bale, anyone would have to pay a minimum of double that figure.

Best left-sided player in europe!! Have a laugh! Nani, Malouda and Ribery to name 3 are better than Bale. A no-go for me.
TheFamousNo7
id like to see nani malouda or ribery play left back and get forward as much as bale. the boy has 6 lungs the way he gets up and down the pitch for 90 mins. nani??? are u havin a laugh... lol the boys nowhere near as good or as much of a complete player as bale. malouda and ribery are quality players as is robben neither of these players would demand a higher transfer fee than Bale tho. u should watch more spurs games too see for yourself what all the fuss is about.

Bale is 5h1te at LB first of all. Secondly Fitness levels and high work rate though a great feature in a player it doesn't make 'em the best e.g. our very own Park. Last time i recalled Madrid were prepared to pay 60 mil for Ribery. Bale is good but you're having a laugh if your calling him the best LM in europe. You're a fool for underrating Nani.
TheFamousNo7
I think Bale has the potential to be one of the best left sided players in Europe, but Spurs fans are being a bit previous in thinking he's arrived at such a lofty position just yet. I suspect that united's financial situation will rule them out of any bidding war for Bale though, and even though Levy probably would cash in if the price was right a move aborad is probably much more likely. United will most likely try to unearth another prospect from somewhere rather than paying silly money they don't have for proven talent - which might work for them, or might not.
