United - Ferdinand`s Comeback Continues!

United - Ferdinand`s Comeback Continues!

And so the biggest test, so far, is over.

The Rio Ferdinand comeback continues to gather pace with the classy central defender managing to get through the full ninety minute sin the Mestalla Stadium last night.

There might have been one or two nervy moments but once his settled back in alongside Nemanja Vidic it was just like old times with the defence keeping a clean sheet.

Speaking about the latest stage of his comeback, Sir Alex Ferguson had this to say,

"Rio did very well. It was his first really big match in five months and I was pleased with that."

"Rio had a game against Rangers and Scunthorpe but this was a real game."

Whilst Rio was also able to reflect on his appearance by quipping,

"To play 90 minutes is fantastic."

It`ll be interesting to see if Sir Alex sticks with Rio for the forthcoming Premier League game this weekend or whether he continues to introduce him back into the starting eleven slowly!

What`s your view?

Should he start this weekend or should we revert to the Evans and Vidic partnership?
