'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Rooney Left Behind Sensation!

The way Sky Sports were behaving last night you`d have thought that a national crisis had broken out.

Headlines screamed out at you that Wayne Rooney hadn`t travelled to Spain with the Manchester United squad, headlines that were almost on a par with nuclear war possibly breaking out.

Thankfully, those in the know; were content to point out that there was a simple explanation and that the reason Wayne hadn`t boarded the plain was very simple or as the club explained,

"Rooney is not going to Spain this week. The manager feels he has sufficient depth in his squad to leave Wayne behind."

And rest that ankle that troubled him at Bolton on Sunday!

Simple!

He's having a bad time on and off the pitch and with his current performances I can't see the team suffering without him.
