United - Less Chat = More Play?

Does keeping your trap shut prolong your career?

A strange question you might be thinking but a question that Sir Alex Ferguson has touched on.

Sir Alex has inferred that too much talking use sup energy and could well be one of the reasons why Gary Neville, at 38, is lagging behind the normally quiet Ryan Giggs, at 36, when it comes to effectively prolonging a career.

Speaking about the quirky situation, Sir Alex is quoted as having said,

"Ryan is a low key person."

"But some people can tire themselves with their talking - Gary Neville is a very emotional guy which can cost him energy."

So what effect does constantly chewing gum have then please Sir Alex?
