United - Owen Looking for Number Four!

United - Owen Looking for Number Four!

Confined to the substitutes` bench for the majority of the season, so far, it was great to see Michael Owen get a start last night whilst also scoring twice.

Owen, who has been linked, by some sources, with a move away from Old Trafford this coming January transfer window, something denied by United, showed all his predatory instincts allied with classical finishing as United put a game Scunthorpe side to the sword in a seven-goal thriller.

Owen, after the game, reminded us all, in a post match interview, of his liking for the Carling Cup, commenting,

"I have won this competition three times. It has been a good competition for me."

It`s strange how some players get an affiliation to one competition isn`t it? Would you bet on Owen not picking up a fourth winners medal at Wembley come 2011?

Looking sharper in front of goal than what Rooney has been. After some of the shock results we've got a much stronger chance to win the Carlng Cup.
